Anos 60

The request for services grew,
resulting in a new corporate name.

The 1960’s were very important in Brazilian Architecture and Engineering history on account of Juscelino Kubitschek’s dream of constructing Brazil’s capital, Brasília. At this point, the Golombek office had already grown. Two partners joined the company - Eng. Ignácio Gerber e Eng. Eduardo Couso Junior - and the firm was renamed CONSULTRIX, which is Latin for "the one who shows the way". Consultrix was behind great works erected in Brasília, among others, the beautiful Central Bank and the Caixa Econômica Federal buildings, as well as participating in a large number of residential buildings, the so-called Superblocks. Large scale road access works in the city of São Paulo, such as the Rubem Berta Viaduct on main road “Avenida 23 de Maio”; Viaduto 9 de Julho; the intersection of Avenida Paulista with Rua da Consolação; the beautiful walkway under the Viaduto do Chá, among others, had the Consultrix know-how.
